REFOLUTION is a project focused on the production of advanced biofuels for the aviation and marine sectors, with the goal of reducing Capital Costs (CAPEX) by 50% and Operating Costs (OPEX) by 45%.
The project will develop an innovative process to convert biomass-derived pyrolysis oil (FP) into advanced biofuels by combining various co-processing technologies. The Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) co-process for aviation/naval applications (TRL7) and hydrotreatment for marine applications (TRL6) will be implemented.

The aim is to integrate these processes into existing refineries for large-scale production. REFOLUTION will provide a comprehensive toolbox of models, standards, and documentation to facilitate replication in other refineries.
