SNEC 2023 – International Energy Storage and Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Technology, Equipment and Application Conference

24-26 May 2023, Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, China

At present, the global response to climate change has embarked on a new journey. More than 130 countries and regions including China, the European Union, the United States and Japan, have put forward the goal of Carbon Neutralization. The world’s major economies have greatly promoted green economic recovery. The low-carbon transformation of the energy structure is accelerating. The development of wind, solar, storage, hydrogen and other renewable energies is ushering in new opportunities.

The Fourteenth Five Year Plan for Modern Energy System pointed out that the diversified and iterative energy system is evolving vigorously, and new energy storage and hydrogen energy are expected to develop on a large scale and drive fundamental changes in the form of the energy system, which puts forward requirements for accelerating the technological breakthrough of the new power system. On the basis of continuously improving the technical level and economy of development and utilization of wind power and solar power generation, it is also crucial to strengthen frontier scientific and technological researches such as energy storage and hydrogen energy.

SNEC International Energy Storage and Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Technology, Equipment and Application Conference focuses on the self-reliance of new energy storage core technology and the breakthrough of key technologies in the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, including hydrogen production from renewable energy, hydrogen energy storage and transportation, as well as its application and use on fuel cells. The conference discusses how to promote the continuous cost reduction and large-scale application of energy storage and hydrogen energy, improve the technical standards and management system of energy storage and hydrogen energy, enhance the safe operation level, and promote technical exchanges, cooperation and investment in the comprehensive utilization of energy in the four major renewable energy industries of wind, solar, storage and hydrogen to achieve win-win development.

ETA-Florence, as International Cooperating Partner of the event, will partecipate in the Opening Ceremony and Plenary on Wednesday 24 May at 13:15, with a presentation by Dr. Heinz Ossenbrink, Former Head of Unit, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, European Commission, Joint Research Centre, and Advisor of ETA Florence Renewable Energies.
