COCPIT is a 4-year Research and Innovation Action (Horizon Europe) project aimed at supporting the large-scale production of sustainable microalgae-based fuels for hard-to-electrify sectors, such as aviation and shipping. The project will use a circular and comprehensive process, exploring two main pathways: HEFA (Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids) and HTL (Hydrothermal Liquefaction).
COCPIT will also develop an AI-based decision tool that will analyze economic, social, and environmental scenarios to guide end-users toward the optimal solution. This tool will be integrated into a comprehensive marketplace, offering technological solutions to investors.
