Grid-connected PV systems have been a significant contributor to the energy balance of the High Court and the Supreme Court buildings in Madrid’s new City of Justice.

Our solution involves integrating the PV double glazing modules into the cladding panels of the court rooms roof and a vertical implementation of PV glass modules in the Southward facade.

While the other building leverages standard PV modules placed on aluminium or galvanised steel structures, tilted to south according to the natural inclination of the covering and a vertical implementation of PV glass modules in the Southward facade.

In total, the PV solutions studied and designed by ETA Florence for this project offer a nominal power of 199,3 kW; annual production of 255,1 MWh; and aCO2 emissions savings of 180,9 tons per year.

ETA Florence has had a number of collaborations with Foster + Partners to study, design, and lead the site management of effective PV systems.
